Kompetisi Komponis Muda Indonesia or The Indonesian Young Composers Competition is a national competition for composers aged up to 35, aimed at discovering new talents in the field of music composition. The competition has been held regularly by Bandung Philharmonic since 2017.
To ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process, all submitted works are assessed through a blind audition process (without the composer’s name) by internationally recognized jurors who are professionals in their respective fields.
The winning composition will receive its World Premiere in a symphonic concert presented by Bandung Philharmonic. This initiative is designed to provide composers with direct experience collaborating with a professional orchestra.
