Bandung Philharmonic’s Orchestra Academy (BPOA) is a vibrant training program for young musicians aged 8–32 across Southeast Asia.

 

Launched in 2025, its inaugural year was an unforgettable artistic journey for everyone involved. Building on last year’s success and feedback, BPOA 2026 returns with exciting updates, including two Gala Concerts in Bandung and Jakarta, plus a special field trip to visit Saung Angklung Udjo in Bandung.

 

BPOA 2026 offers two levels of participation: Junior String Academy, designed for young string players seeking ensemble experience. Senior Orchestra Academy, aimed at advanced students who wish to perform in an artistically challenging, pre-professional orchestral setting. All participants will rehearse and perform under the baton of Maestro Maxime Pitois, while receiving intensive coaching from an all-star faculty drawn from leading professional orchestras across the region.
